
In an interview for the economic weekly "Kapital", USAID Director Michael Fritz talks about Macedonia's development as seen through USG assistance programs implemented in this country.
E-Government, strengthening and revitalization of various institutions in Macedonia, Roma education program, recycling projects are some of the most distinguished achievements of USAID in Macedonia, says Michael Fritz, Director of USAID in an interview with weekly Kapital. Among other things, Fritz also speaks about the projects aimed at economic development of the country, combating corruption and improving social welfare. On issues related to the political influence over the judiciary, USAID Director explains that for the time being, there is no noticeable and concrete will for politics to be separated from the judiciary, adding that the central government finds it difficult to withdraw its influence over this sector thus disabling implementation of reforms.
